Default Multiple Codes, throwing parts at the truck etc.

Hey guys, i did a few searches, and its hard to find specific info, but i wanted to share my recent troubles.

Ever since i moved back to MN (3yrs now) i have had a poor idle condition when it gets cold, scanners show i have lean condition, a misfire, and 02 sensors malfunctioning.

I know its never a good idea but In my frustration, in 3 years I have thrown the following parts at the truck to try to remedy the condition, Accel COPs, Fuel Filter, IAT, Mass air sensor, IAC, New vacuum hoses, CHT (used had 1 layin around)
All of these helped a little, but none solved the issues, these codes are still active
P1131- Lack of Ho2 Sensor Indicates Lean Bank 1
P1151- Lack of Ho2 Sensor Indicates Lean Bank 2
P0136- Sensor Circuit Malfunction Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0156- Sensor Circuit Malfunction Bank 2 Sensor 2
P0306- Cylinder 6 Misfire
P0308- Cylinder 8 Misfire

My fuel pressure gauge, was broken so i never checked fuel pressure. I bought a New Gauge Thursday, and Found out even with a new filter i only have 15psi, and 20psi with the reg unhooked. Shocked it even ran
I never suspected the fuel pump because in all my experiences either the pump works or it doesnt lol
So a new pump is on the way.

Now onto my questions, what have u guys done when and if you needed to replace the fuel pressure reg, new aftermarket rails, and seperate reg? (is aeromotive the only option?) or new oem style rails and all?

Second question, Have any of you guys used the palmer performance app, DashCommand? I love being able to see live (well close to live) stats on things, and the $40 i spent to buy the app, and the 2000 & 2005 specific codes, and the kiwi obd interface, is well worth the investment and far less than a good scanner that does less.

Yea, you sure that reading fuel pressure correctly? The gauge alright, - is everything tight, no leaks?

I'm not sure why it's running if everything you posted is as bad as it is lol. With the 306 and 8, - man that's a hell of allot of raw fuel being dumped on bank 2 over the O2's and converters. Always being fuel soaked, I'm really surprised more hasn't happened. Surprised it hasn't at least hydro-locked. Lucky lucky. Unless you have unplugged #6 and 8 injectors, that would explain why nothing serious has happened yet.

Anyway, yea Accel COP's are the worst coils you can run. Most Accel stuff is top notch. This doesn't stand w/their COP system coils.

Since you have circuit failures at this point, your going to need O2 sensors and I'm not sure how your staying away from efficiency DTC's. Those converters are or have gone thru hell.

As far as your parts question, - no special direction, just get what you need.

For phone apps, Torque Pro is a good one. Haven't heard of the other mentioned, so I can't comment. As long as the app reads live data, during the drive cycle, it's worth having.

Concentrate on the misfires first. Get her running on all 8 all the time. Then fix the rest.

I agree with brew find out what is causing those misfires. Check the plugs first and make sure the plugs are good and seated properly, all the electrical connections are clean and the COP's are good. Also check the fuel injectors. If you eliminate all of this as a problem, you need to check inside the engine at the valves or pistons.

If you are showing misfires on any cylinder, you are going to be throwing a lot of codes elsewhere in your engine.

Good luck

I'd fix the fuel pressure issue first. Might be the cause of the misfires. I wouldn't mess with the regulator. Showed a rise in pressure unplugged. Pump is simple to do, clear the codes and retest.

For the fuel rails question. - I looked for some about 3 weeks ago for a guy, because our factory rails tend to rust out in one area. I found most of them on eBay. There's quite a few sets for sale there.
