Mud Dawg tires?
I got a friend with some Summit Mud Dawg tires on his Wrangler he just got last year, still basically brand new. Well he's now putting new rims on it which means he's getting rid of the 'Dawgs. Has anyone had these on a F-150 before? They're 31" tires, which works out good for my 2wd, nothing over the top. But mainly i'm concerned with everyday driving, i don't wanna get a tire that won't last a little while. Any opinions, advice is appreciated

they use old casings/sidewalls and put new rubber around it with new wires and such.
who says you cant use them on the front? most semis run re treads and theyve come along way. treadright is a re tread company that speciallizes in mud/all terrain truck tires. alot of people run them on rangers and they last a long time!!

Just call me sean. Really
Re-treads = tires that have had new treads put on them. Old sidewalls. See all the tread thing on the side of the road from semi's? That's the tread from a re-treaded tire that blew off.
That being said, I see no reason not to use them for the back tires, they're cheaper than a brand new mud tire, and will probably last almost as long. But here in Florida, it's illegal to have re-treads on the front, due to if the tread blows off the front tire, it's probably gonna take you with it. That's the legal sentiment, please don't say "I could handle that!" that's just my understanding of the law.
I believe I answered that in the text block above... dangit haha I gotta start typing stuff where it belongs
