The tow tune, however, is fantastic. The combination of the transmission shift adjustments and powerband control is night and day.
Just some examples of what I've hooked up to with the tow tune
Keep in mind this is on a 160xxx "stock" truck
I thought about getting a towing tune but I only tow about once or twice a year, so I'll just load the stock tune back up when that time come around. How does the towing tune feel compared to one of the performance tunes for just daily driving?

Right now I'm having MPT revise all 3 of my tunes so that the PATS system is disabled and I don't have to use a chipped key. I'm planning on installing a remote start system sometime in the future, hopefully a Christmas present or something. Having the PATS off will make install a whole lot less complicated

It "holds" the power in every gear and does not feel quick as a result.
It's not a very good dd tune though

Is that only available in custom tunes?
I did not know that was even an option.

Yeah unfortunately SCT doesn't offer this option in the canned tunes. But MPT said it's no problem and they can disable PATS, the theft light will just be on. But that doesn't doesn't bother me ill just pull the bulb. With the system disabled it will be a lot easier and cheaper for me to install a remote start. Plus I don't have the pay Ford 150 bucks for a second key.

You don't have to disable the pats for the remote start. They make a small module box that you install your chipped key in and mount under the dash. They key is wrapped with copper rings and the other end of the module mounts behind your key switch to simulate that a chipped key is present. Then you only need to get standard keys cut. I have a Viper 2 way alarm in mine with remote start and that's how we set it up.

Yeah the thing is, I only have one chipped key and and would like to keep that just in case something goes wrong. Also it's one less thing I have to buy and install if I just get the system disabled.

Its right there and easily accessible if something does go wrong. I only have 1 chipped key also. Box only cost me about $30. Just saying there are alternative methods for your problem that won't disable your theft system and no light bulbs to pull. Plus $1.50 keys at Lowe's are way cheaper than the chipped ones.

Yeah but either way your theft system is getting disabled and it's cheaper to buy keys
