Default Missing. Worse when cold

**Update** Sea Foam is the miracle cure all.

I have a 99 F150 4.6 150k miles. It picked up a pretty serious miss a while back and I wasn't sure what the problem was so I did the following

Replaced spark plugs - No help

Replaced one coil - better but still miss

Replaced second coil - better but still miss

By better I mean it doesn't miss at idle if it is warm outside.

Cleaned MAF - No help - Is it possible the MAF is bad? If so is there a test?

When the temperature outside is cold it seems to have a dead miss in the motor. If it is 70 degrees outside it runs fine unless I step on it. Under hard acceleration it cuts out badly and the check engine light flashes.

I was going to have the codes pulled but the check engine light does not stay on. I am assuming nothing will show up if the light is off?

The ABS light comes on. Not sure if that means anything.

If I can't get help here my next steps are clean the injectors and replace the catalytic converter. I am reaching here.

Thanks ahead of time for your attention.

James

After reading previous posts I am going to clean the EGR tomorrow. I guess I should have searched a little more before posting. I will post the results.

Removed the EGR. It was working fine. Cleaned it and re-installed. No help.
