On my Tundra I know I have almost 5 gallons when the gauge hits empty,...when a Ford show empty is there any reserve?

How empty?
When mine first touches I may have 2 -3 gal left
After a while, it sinks deeper...no, theres no real reserve
Fill up tank and compare to published capacity to get idea of yours

Imho its not a good idea to let your fuel get below 1/4 tank anyway- that said, i have had different fords, and they all behaved differently- some would have a " reserve", some would run out at E- if you want to be sure, take a 5 gal. can of gas with you and drive it til it quits!lol- jk- thats a good way to smoke a fuel pump-
Best bet is to keep at least 1/4 tank at all times!

No 2 gas gauge's read the same it is like asking how high is up. If you must know you can run it down to the red then fill it and compare the gallons to the tank capacity, or throw a can of gas in the bed and drive until it quits. [Not a good idea] The fuel pump is cooled by fuel surrounding it. best idea is just dont run it low it doesn't use any more gas running off the top half of the tank than the bottom half.

I take chances on a lot of things, but running out of gas is not one of them. If you like to guess just make sure you carry around a empty gas jug.

if you decide that you like living on the wild side and running your tank dangerously low, like stated above a full 5 gallon jerry can would be best. But make sure you rotate the gas in the can as well. Bad gas can be worse than no gas.
