My check engine light came on in my F150 during my recent trip across the US. I took it to a AAA car care center once I got to my destination on the east coast.

After running diagnostics, they called me to tell me that the EVAP lines were melted onto the exhaust.

They are going to notify me on monday as to how much it will cost and the procedure to take.

Is this a serious problem? Anyone had this done before? Know how much I should expect to cost so I don't get robbed?

Thanks for sharing the problem. No, I haven't lost the EVAP line. I didn't even know it's close enough to exhaust to become hot. I will check mine.
