Married to a 98 F150 5.4L with a bad heart....
I have married a 98 F150 5.4l with a Triton engine.
I had no idea it had a bad heart and a busted up front end. But, when I marry a vehicle, I'm with it till the end. I'm committed.
So, I'll call the truck Titus.
Well, Titus is fixin' to get an remanufactured engine from PowerTrain and a whole new front end at the same time.
One month in Titus started missing and needed a new COP on cylinder 8. Five hours later cylinder 7 started missing. Thought it was COP, so bought 7 more......wasn't. Was bad compression.
The front end sounded like it had ghosts rattling chains. Got that checked out and sway bar linkage was dangling. All the other goodies were worn out too.
I am going to have the fuel injectors replaced with the engine, but I can't figure out what pounds/hour I need for Titus.
Does it matter?
Please help.......
