Need some help with suggestions...

I have a 2000 F-150 4x4 with the 4.2 V6 and 5-Speed manual trans.

After the vehicle has been run for a while especially after a long run in OD down the expressway it grinds when shifting into 3rd.

None of the other gears ever grind, and 3rd gear only seems to grind after long runs in 5th gear.

Any ideas on what to change?

i had this problem when i was into hondas. for me it was the syncros. but i have only owned my f150 for about 3 days so i am not sure if it could be the same.
