major electrical problems. need help
well everyone, here we go with a major brain twister.
i have a 2001 f150 supercrew. i got home today from working out of town and went to start my truck and the battery was low from sitting so we used a jump pack to start it and i went to roll the windows down and they didnt work. so i started checking other things and i have no wipers, turn signals, brake lights, hazards, radio, and i cannot shift out of park. i pulled the negative battery cable and was able to turn the key to the run position and it went into gear but as soon as i hooked the battery back up it wouldnt work again. i pulled and checked every fuse and none of them are blown. any ideas. and help would be awesome

charge the battery full then try again. I have found that sometimes a battery is so drained that even after jumping it, the dead battery is sucking down the voltage of the alternator so much that weird things happen.

I manged to get through your post lol.
Anyway, disconnect the battery and charge it, just trickle charge it if the option is available , also use the charger set to auto not manual if available. Well, before you do that, check the battery voltage, - you must have a multi meter somewhere right?
If not when you connect it to the charger, write down what the amps say after flicking the gauge a couple times with your finger, post it here.
If your battery turns out to be fully charged or close to it, just disconnect BOTH cables neg first, then touch the cables together making good contact. Rub them together. That will reset/ drain the capacitors. Then reconnect , positive first.
Chances are, like most mentioned, - it's just the battery. If this occurs again, - move the selector to neutral...start in the neutral position.
Have any questions, feel free to ask
