Default Loose front end!!!

Here goes. I've got a 2002 Harley edition. I've replaced all the front suspension, tie rods and idler arm, front rotors and bearing. Now I feel a rattle in the steering wheel. Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this issue. Also I've replaced the wheels and tires with in the last two month.

The noise sounds like something is lose. I'm going to try to eliminate by tightening down the shocks and sway bar end link. If there Lose that would be a blessing. I'll have the tires rebalanced. Thanks for the thought.

I had my front end checked out by a ford front end tech. I was advised that I've got a back steering box and pitman arm. My question would this give me the sense that something's loose. I'm going to replace them because they've never been replaced yet. The truck has 165k on her. If anyone would give me Their option that would be great.

A bad steering box??? I was think stabilizer bar maybe. If I were you I would make sure my tires are balanced, rims are not bent, and that the wheel bearings are good? When you say rattle in the steering wheel, are you maybe talking about a vibration.

The pitman arm makes sense since they are known to be a little problematic on our body style fords, but I would eliminate everything I mentioned first before I tough the suspension components.

I've replaced all of steering arms. The arm that in the center of tie rod arms has some play. I'm going to replace the arm, steering box and pitman arm. I've checked the wheels, bearings, shocks, stabilizer end links and everything are tight. The truck doesn't handle very well anymore.

The center piece that holds the tie rods is called a tie rod adjuster tube I think.

If you want, go and get a second opinion. I would hate for you to replace something that doesn't need replacing. But hey, it's your truck man.

The tech did advise me and showed me that the shaft that comes out of the steering box is moving up and down. The shaft that the pitman arm slides onto. There is some play in the center bar ball joint. I'll go and get that second opinion for sure.

Well I had my front end checked out for a second opinion. I found out that pitman arm is worn out. Also the steering shaft is also worn out. So I've decided to replace the steering box, pitman arm and steering shaft. I'm hoping this will resolve all of my issues.
