I have never don't it on one of my own however I have plenty of friends who have ordered gears from here. They supply oem gears and off brand. What gear are you looking at running?

What gear ratio are you moving up from? and what tires are you running or planning on running with the new gears? The tires make a huge difference in how the motor works while driving with different gears.

Go 4.56 with 35" tires. I did and could not be happier. Like stated earlier randys is a great place to order from. Order the master rebuild kit and also get new axle bearing and seals. Would give a totally rebuilt rear except your posi.
Also buy the yukon gears. Quite and strong.

Yukon is not what they used to be.

To the OP.Go with 4.56's but it depends on what the stock gear was. Also remember if its 4wd you'll need to do the front also.

What is what it used to be? Still a quality brand. Richmond gears are good but loud. Not for dd in my opinion.

If you pull a trailer go 4.56. I pull a 3000# trailer with mine. Happy happy.
If you have a 4x4 you will need to do the front also but if you dont use 4x4 you can wait a little to do front. I waited 3 months to recoup funds for front.
