Default Looking for OBD2 diagnostic code scanner recommendation

Hi guys, I have a 2001 F150
I am looking to buy an OBD2 reader. There are too many options out there and I am not sure which one to buy. Can someone make a few reasonably priced ones?

I am looking for something under $250

I also have a 2007 Honda. I would like something that will work for both cars.

Thank you in advance.

I think the us703 scanner and the elm327 are the good choice.

My buddy has an UltraGauge. It was only like 70 bones! It's got a whole bunch of different pages, and it'll also show any codes your truck throws. Works great, and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Always a plus

I have code reader solution I like that works great on my Expedition (i've also used it to read and clear codes on a 2004 Tundra and on my wife's 2006 BMW X3). It's a Bluetooth OBDII connector that you pair up to and Android powered smart phone. Here is a little write up/review I did for it and for the Torque Pro app, hope it helps ...

A good standalone reader is this one (haven't tried it but the reviews are really good):

I have an Actron CP9575 which I purchased from Amazon. It was in the $100 range and works quite well. I also purchased the Haynes Techbook on OBD-II which is well worth while. They use an EZ-Scan 5000 to do much of their trouble shooting. They also use a unit which connects with a laptop. I would go that route if I could afford it.
