O2 sensor thread size for 2001 F150 w/5.4 EFI
I am trying to swap out the O2 sensors on my 2001 F150 Lariat supercrew w/5.4 EFI after 180K miles. Needless to say these things are frozen in there solid.
I have tried PB Blaster, heat, Freeze spray, everything, with no luck. finally I resorted to knocking the head off of it and getting a simple boxend wrench on it (the "special" wrenches and sockets simply spread apart and slip off)
So the one (passenger side after the Cat) came out but it left all it's threads behind so Now I have to RE-Tap the collar on the pipe to put the new one in. Now I need to know the thread size I need to get and of course I can't find that info anywhere.
SO...if anyone can tell me the thread size for the pipe collar that receives the O2 sensor I will be greatly indebted to you.
Thanks
Matt
P.S. I also have the other three to take out so any tips hints, secrets, etc on doing that will be greatly appreciated...
