I can tell you the side pull soleniod with the pivoting shield is for improved optics and less issues with the shields getting stuck.

Does anyone know if EvoX-Rs will fit in our housings? I'll be upgrading my headlights when TRS has there black Friday sale and I would love to get some EvoX-Rs. I know people have done FX-Rs I just have never seen and EvoX-R in our gen. I think it may be a little bit to long. Regardless the MH1s will be going in my fog lights and either EvoX-Rs or FX-Rs will be going In the headlights

Also to anyone who is thinking about doing a retro I would recommend to skip the MH1s and go to D2S if you are just looking for plug and play projector. MH1s are good don't get me wrong but after seeing my MH1s beside some mini D2S last night I wish I would have went with them.

I second this if you have the money. After building 2 sets of D2S lights and 2 sets of MH1's, I will say, the output is much better from the D2S. However they do cost a bit more, and they will most likely require cutting the bulb hole in the rear of the housing out larger since the bulbs and the necks of the projectors themselves are larger. But for the price and simplicity, for a beginner retrofit, the MH1 is still a great option.

I was going to go FXR on my rebuild. Trust me, I wanted them suckers BAD. If only the radiator support wasn't bent...

If the EvoX-Rs don't fit I'll be going with FXRs. I prefer the extra distance of the evo over the width of the FX-R. Plus the EvoX-Rs high beam is amazing. I wish I could afford to put the FX-Rs in the fogs and EvoX-Rs in the headlights lol
