Light and Tire questions
Hey eveyone,
Just had a couple questions that I'm hoping you can shed some light on.
1. I am looking into installing a set of cab lights on my truck and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for brands and how they would be to install myself or have installed.
I can say that I want a 5 light set and I want them to be smoked.
2. I would like to up my tire size to 285/70/17's.....I have stock fx4 rims with 265/70/17's....I would like to use my stock rims....is this possible?
Any help I could get on this stuff would be great.

You shouldnt have any trouble with the 285's thats what I am running on my stock suspension. Some guys are actually running 315's with the t-bars cranked on FX4 rims
As far as the cab lights... I would go with the 03-07 (I think thats the model years) Dodge cab lights. Thats what most of the guys I have seen on here use, they are a lower profile than the superduty ones and in my opinon look better than the ford ones. Install isnt too bad, just measure about 4x before drilling and then use a lot of silicon to seal them. You can pick up the lights on ebay for 80-90 bucks.
I am planning on doing the lights as soon as I can scrape up the money for them. I hate being broke!

285 tires are fine on a 4x4.
These are the lights I am getting for mine http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-09-DODGE-...aba49b&vxp=mtr. Here is kind of a how-to on them too https://www.f150forum.com/f38/f150-c...flasher-97754/
