You drill that directly into the roof?

Mines straight... Take a pic if your brackets.... I'm not sure how I Want to do mine yet.... Was looking at mounting it in the door jamb but the way the seal is made I don't think there is a good way of doing it. I want mine to sit on the windshield. Not actually touching it... But like right at the top but in front... I guess like in front of the blue tint stuff on it but at the very top lol of that makes since

without a curved bar its not gonna hug the windshield but just buy 07-13 Chevy 1500 light bar brackets from rough country. They'll fit without any modification as long as your scab or single cab, mine are NFAB brackets i dropped it a 1/2 inch sense these pictures.

yep, four 3/8 holes, I've taken a power washer to my roof where the brackets are. Had em a few months no complaints. People worried about holes in the roof have obviously never seen cab clearance lights installed. If you can drill 20 holes in the roof you can drill 4 without problems lol

I'm not going to go into the whole story but these will work without ANY modifications. PLUG AND PLAY. they WILL NOT work on crew cab trucks, only extended cab and single cabs, its been done by a bunch of guys, http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-upper...nts-70507.html

Here's a pic of it installed, i didn't like the way it smashes the seal, and prefer the NFAB brackets but 60$ vs 170$ cant beat it.

my truck is crew cab... But I was looking at making my own mounts and i don't see why this wouldn't work. It's kinda what I was thinking about trying.... Just not a lot of metal there to screw Into so wasn't sure about it. And yeah I know it won't hug the windshield I just don't want it sticking up off the roof

I'm just not sure how I'm gonna do it yet. I may do it like you n fab brackets are... And bolt into the roof. I just have to get out there and mock up and see where I want it to sit. It's to dang cold to mess with it right now. Lol

your profile picture is a super cab, (extended cab) and why not buy the right brackets for 60$ vs fabbing your own, unless you have access to a shop equipped to bend steel and fab i cant see it coming out to well...
