I noticed the other night that the lights were not working on my cruise control buttons on my steering wheel. Is their possibly a fuse that blew for this or did it just happen to be that both bulbs went out at the same time? If so how do I replace them bulbs?

they are LED I believe. You'd have to get new switches look at tascaparts.com for ford ones.

Check the cc fuse. They run together. You couldn't possibly (1 in 10,ooo,ooo) lose both lights at once without other problems. Figure it is a fuse. Did your truck get its recall on the cruise control recall?

I'm thinking its a fuse too. And no I did not get a recall done. Only one has been done that I know of and that was the gas tank straps

The buttons still work just not the lights. Where would this fuse be?

The lights actually work off the headlight switch. They don't come on until the headlights are on. If they aren't working then, you may have to trace the one wire, from the clock spring harness to find where the lights are not active from. Did you check inside, under the air bag and see if the wires are all connected? The ground wire might be loose, or something simple like that. It doesn't make sense to loose 2 lights, at one time. It has to either be power or ground problem.

If you look at this picture you will see a red white blue and other wires running side to side. This is the common power group. You will find the lights are run thru one of those wires. I don't have my spare wheel here, or I would tell you which wire is which. This should help you narrow it down. You can disconnect the harness and proble the end going to the lights and power to see what is working.

Are all the other lights working on your truck? Does the horn work? Trying to narrow it down for you.

Yes all my other lights work. Idk what to start checking here. How does the steering wheel even come apart to check it? I just checked all fuses and they are good

there are two rubber plugs where the steering wheel meets the column almost ( look back there you'll see them) you pop those off and remove the two bolts. Make sure the battery is disconnected and be very very careful removing the air bag from the center as after removing those two bolts it's now possible. Disconnect the two harnesses and then you can get to the wheel. Remove the big nut and use a jaw puller to pop the wheel off the splines really easy. Takes about 15mins if you've done it before or have an idea where you're headed.

Ya gotta admit I'm a little nervous about doing that. Mainly cause of the air bag. I guess I could pull the headlight switch out and try to find which wire is for those lights
