Default Lift and Tires on 2000 F150

I'm wanting to put 33's on my truck. I have a 2000 xlt super crew. I just got an estimate on a 2.5 suspension lift for $500. I want to do that, but how bad is that going to affect my gas mileage? And I also am not sure what the tire specifications are for the 33's I want. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks!

the leveling kit itself wont change your gas mileage, the bigger tires will. are you 4 wheel drive or two wheel drive? if you're 4 wheel drive just crank the torsion bars to level for free and then put the 33's on

It is 4 wheel drive, but i read that if you crank the torsion bars that it wears your suspension out fairly quickly

incorrect. that only possibly happens if you way overdo it. theres tons of threads on the site about it. just crank them to 24.25" from bottom of fender to middle of the hub. any further and you will start to damage things quicker.

what size diameter wheel do you have?

then you have 16 inch wheels. for tires you could go with 285/75/16 which are 32.8 inches tall and 11.22 inches wide. or you could go with 305/70/16 which are also 32.8 inches tall but 12.01 inches wide

285/75/16 fit on stock wheels without a tbar crank. No rubbing at all. Mine is a super cab but I think you'd be pretty much the same as well. To crank the bars there are 2 bolts on the bottom of your truck where the tbars connect to the frame. Make sure you turn them equal amounts and get an alingment after.
