Default Lift Kits

Have a few questions about lift kits. I continue to google reseach pages but can't find any answers that I need, So I'm turning to you guys.

Why do lift kits go nuts in price after 2''?
Also mines a stick shift, how much would it affect my truck if I was to put on a 3'' leveling kit and a 3'' body lift?
Never put into consideration the fact I have to shift gears and all.

2 inch kit is normally just a spacer on top of your coil or longer coils once you get into 6 inch and so on everything practically under the front end will need to be replaced a- arms and so on... they get pricy real quick especiallly with stage 2 kits and up Putting a leveling kit on with a body lift shouldnt be a problem i know alot of people that have done this your shift linkage extension should come with the nec, install hardware a leveling kit will not effect your shifting position if you have a 2004 and up a body lift will run about 800-1000 installed and the level kit will be about 200 after alignment so i would seriously look into a suspension lift

yeah i would personaly stay clear of a body lift you dont gain any performance and you get ugly gaps!! as for lifts houpsbill50 nailed it after a leveling kit you are basically changing out your whole front end with new parts and brackets and a good quality lift kit like anything else is going to be pricey but if you ask me when it comes to suspension and brakes etc etc it is worth paying the extra cash no room for the cheap way out your life is in the hands of the suspension you choose good luck bro!

Thanks guys, yeah I have a 2002 F150 5 speed V6. I'm prob only gunna put a leveling kit on it to get it up there some then just put new tires on it. hoping 33x12.5x8. (I think that's right) I did happen to find a 3'' suspension lift only about 800 bucks. I'll prob just go with that.

ALSO, I'm most def going with the 3'' suspension lift and new 33' tires. Won't it Jam out one of my gears though?

I don't know what you mean by Jam out one of my gears but if you mean that 33 inch tires will reduce the power to the ground then you are correct. 4.10:1 or 4.56:1 gears will fix that. Who makes your $800.00 lift kit?

mine was a strong rubber and it went on top of the spring. when i put mine in the first bump i hit leaving the drive way my spring popped in place so dont be supprised if you hear some loud popping sounds at first. i do recomend replacing your shocks because mine rides rough, i would get one just a couple inches longer.

Wll Rough Country Suspensions are pretty pricy. The 6'' left kit was about $1200. But the 2-3'' leveling kit was only about 200 to $300 bucks. I just want that mean looking truck. Since money is tight I'llk prob just end up getting the leveling kit then putting a nice sound system in it. I did find somepretty nice 33'' tires for it. Now I need to find rims, Would black rims look better on a white truck or chrome?
