I've got a little extra breath so here it goes. I ran rotella 15w-40 for about 15000 miles because it made less noises. It had 215000 miles on it and I run it till it quit. If you want priceless info on oil go to bobistheoilguy.com

You asked a stupid question you get a stupid answer. Sorry you're not smart enough to follow what the filler cap says but we're not here to spoon feed you simple answers. Should I run the correct oil?! IDK MAYBE?! my truck says it takes gasoline? Is that the best thing for it?! HELP!! I think you're low in blinker fluid.

Your welcome. You have to take people's opinions here with a grain of salt so to speak. Most peeps here don't really mean to be dicks.

I know the recommended is a 5w-20 with a motorcraft filter and I can see understand and will always use a motorcraft filter but what I don't understand the is weight of the oil now in everything I have ever owned I have run a 10w-40 pensoil and a quart of Lucas and after the reading and research I'm not so sure what to do for my first oil change I've heard a lot about Germany ford maufacturs not recommending a 5w-20 because of the wear property not being to par I just want the most outta my truck and would love to hear some options and what some knowledgeable people on these trucks think this is my first F-series truck and I wanna make it last as long as I can seeings how I am stuck paying for it for a long while so let me know what you guys think or what you use and the results you've seen thanks so much God Bless

Whats best for your truck is what the engineers and manufacturers say is the best.
People who do this for a living (design engines and study oil and engine wear) say use 5w-20. As I said before, millions (if not billions) of miles have been driven with 5w-20 without any issues due to the oil itself.

I would love to see where the German owners manual says what oil to use. 5w-20 has been proven to protect just fine in engines that are spec'ed for it.

Also, keep Lucas out of your engine, only engine oil goes in your engine.

As Tackle said, use 5w-20 and worry about other stuff.

But some people do...

The fact is though the question was answered in your other thread, and apparently you did not agree with the answer. Asking the question again, even if worded differently, will get the same answer, and irk some people tired of reading the same question over and over (especially if from the same person).

I won't hold back, I wouldn't mind engineering one... Just think of all the issues you could delete.
