apparently there is a programmer box under the dash that someone else told me to look for, and I do not have one of those.
So is it missing, did someone remove it ? can I just get one and plug it in? I don't know. I want to go to a wrecking yard and check out some of the vehicles, but the nearest wrecker is 75 miles away or more (I live rural). Do I have the electrical connections? Does it have to fit my trucks computer? I don't know, but without that box, apparently mine does not come with a fob. Calls to numerous dealers get me "maybe", "probably", "should" -- I've given them my vin number, they've input the info and come back with "maybe", "seems like it should". It's been aggravating. I downloaded the owners manual and it tells how to operate the fob. Nowhere did it say that some vehicles do not come equipped for them -- but the dealers tell me that.

This is the seller I bought them from. Took less then 5 minutes to program. The previous owner had someone jam screwdrivers into the locks so they're shot. I bought (2) orders. I have a hide-a-key under both vehicles, one on my key chain and one on my wife's. Shouldn't have to worry about batteries going dead anytime soon...lol.

HELP! I realize this may be off the subject a little bit, but any feedback would be most appreciated. Here's my situation: When I bought my 05 Lariat Super Crew, it DID NOT have a keyless entry code wallet in the owner's manual. I have not been able to use the keyless entry keypad on my truck. How can I obtain the code to open my doors?

Look up under the dash near the brake pedal....you will see a box with a 5 digit number printed on a sticker. That's your factory code

This is for '97-03 trucks, '05 may be different, need to go post in that forum.

Joe8512, did you ever get an answer? I can't help, I have the same question... I recently bought a 1997 standard cab 150 XLT with power windows and door locks. The truck came with 1 key, no FOBs. I want to get some FOBs, but don't know how to tell if my truck has keyless entry... Anyone?
