Hey all, I just brought my truck to a local shop to have the 4WD checked. It was intermittently engaging. Just recently when I put it into 2WD, there was a "grinding" noise. Many have written about the IWE/Solenoid problem, so I have read about this common problem. The technician quoted me at ~$600 to replace the IWE, Solenoid, Actuator, and Idler arm. I often search for the cost to have work done on vehicles, so I thought it would be nice to have this information available to others who may be in the same boat. After I get my itemized receipt, I will put the specific prices up if I get some hits. Anyone out there had any recurring problems with the repairs stated above?
