Resident light whore
My tire dealer whos a good friend said that Nitto had messed with their tire formulas for their tires a couple years back and had some bad problems with a lot of sets, like very pre mature wearing and sidewall blowouts. He says they have since gone back to their old formula.
He went on and on for like 20 minutes about it, still not sure what he means by "tire formulas" just thought Id meintion it. I should ask him again when I see him Friday.

Hmm seems like the nittos are favored, but i dont think enough people have run the toyo since they have come out like not even a year ago. Descisions.... Have a buddy that has the kevlars and i love them but i just cant spend that much on tires. Really need to keep it under $1000. The toyos look a little more aggressive with the "xtreme" design but the old ones really sucked. So basically i just need more reviews on the toyo if anybody has any experience with them. If not i might just get the terras

Cant go wrong with a 50k warranty. Not interested if BFGs? Those are what I wanted but they were a little pricey.

No. Ive known alot of people that have them and they dont clean out well in our soil type at all. Pretty decent on the road but the people ive known havent really got good milage out of them for an all terrain. A good buddy of mine went 65k on a set of toyo at1 35x12.5 on a f250. But they were not all that great offroad, but they got the job done. Have seen nittos go big milage and do pretty decent in the mud on a 2wd. That missing deciding factor is how they stack up against the AT2. Ive never seen them in person and dont know anyone who has them.
