So I picked this up about a month ago.

Bought it from Tasca and they were absolutely great. They even painted the entire side of the truck for me as part of the deal.
So I had it for a whole three days and decided I needed somewhere to put my junk... It just wasn't working scattered across the back seat. So I bought a toolbox.

On friday my brother decided to whack my tail light with his mirror... Luckily he just hit the tail light and not the fresh paint....
So a new set of tail lights got ordered.
Took me about 10 minutes to install

Got something done! Finally got a minute to paint my rear axle. The thing looked terrible before. Literally the only spot on the truck that looked like that with the exception of the driveshaft which will get done at a later date.
Now, I know the proper way to do this is to pull all the lines and rip the axle out of the truck, but I honestly didn't have time for that, and I'm pissed I gotta peel the tape off tomorrow and put the tires back on. I'm on day 2 of this haha.
Here's how it looked before, in my opinion this is unacceptable for a three year old vehicle. Idk whether the PO had a boat, or the factory coating is just poor.

So I got a $75 gift certificate to Amazon over the holidays and I decided I'm gonna start swapping halogens out for LEDs.
I've never really used LEDs for anything automotive related before... My last car was a Sh*tbox... Anyhow I've listed some of the LEDs I got picked out with the links below. PLEASE tell me if I'm buying junk... I'd rather spend the money once than learn a tough lesson and have to buy twice.
Here's what ive got picked out so far....
Dome Light:JDM ASTAR Extremely Bright 5730 SMD 1.72" 42mm 211-2 212-2 578 LED Bulbs,Xenon White
Reverse Lights: JDM ASTAR Extremely Bright 5730 SMD 1.72" 42mm 211-2 212-2 578 LED Bulbs,Xenon White
Tag Lights:

Third Brake Light
JDM ASTAR 800 lumens Extremely Bright Error Free 921 912 PX Chipsets LED Bulbs For Backup Reverse Lights, Xenon White

Okay, so I'm back this time with pics! I got the festoons in the mail today, and it was finally warm enough to get the third brake light cover off without worrying about breaking it! Tag lights are still enroute.
output shot time!

not a truck mod but a significant moment in my life.
Also, kind of a small update for you guys. Not really truck related but still really good news. I got a new job, and I am relocating from Rhode Island to the Philadelphia area. I havent quite decided where yet, I'm waiting on a couple things. 1. I need a more clear and definitive idea of where I am going to be placed within my territory. 2. I am training in MD for around 3 months so I'm not in a hurry to sign a lease and give away money for a place I wont be staying in right away. However this build shouldn't be as slow of a pace as I initially thought!

Those look great. If I was keeping the front bumper, I would probably go this route too.
Do you still get good reception with the stubby? I would love to get one, but when im out on the highway im not sure if it would get any good reception since its basically farmland everywhere and no larger cities.
