My '02 was my dad's before mine and I remember he lent it to my aunt for a day or two around 145k miles while her car was in the shop. She complained about it riding rough, well turns out she put it in 4hi instead of turning the a/c on!! She was driving highway speeds in 4hi during the summer!! I now have 204k miles on it and am not afraid to take it offroad or use it as a daily driver to make it to class

I always thought they should switch the position of the headlight and 4x4 switch. It would make the light switch easier to turn witch is used more often and the 4x4 switch harder to accidentally turn.

The switch should have to be pushed in or something. I got a call from a friend who borrowed my truck saying "it was making a lot of noise and wouldn't shift." She turned it in 4L instead of the fan switch on the highway. Once she came to a stop and had her foot on the break it shifted into 4L and "wouldn't go past 30mph"

I guess that is why I don't borrow out my truck.

One time when I was camping my mom needed to borrow my car. She drove all the way to town and back with the parking brake on. She said it had no "get up and go" and was hard to get over 30mph.

The parking brake and 4x4 lights come on the dash once they are engaged. Do these people not see that?

People are not observant and do not have situational awareness.

Same people drive down the road with their blinker on from a turn they took miles back. Or pull up to a 4way stop talking on the phone...half the time they do not notice vehicles on certain sides of them.
