Default im new with a few questions

wassup im new to the site and i have a few questions,i have a 99 f150 ext cab with 5.4 i have cold air intake and true duals into a y pipe and 40 series flowmaster with 3'' dumps before rearend,my truck was running fine intill the other nite it was running rough i look under the truck and driver side front converter is glowing cherry red, i only have 2 converters off each manifold ,,,,i wana no whats the best high flow converters to put on it to make it sound better and have a lil extra hp,and not brake the bank.............help will be greatly appreciated thanks

i personaly like magnaflow products and jegs has some for $84 nd they are 2.5''

does it help out??? like i no its gunna make it louder..but is there a differnce in torque or hp??

there is suppoesed to be i mean the engine pushes the gas (exhaust fumes) through the tighter headers then moves to the high flow cats so and can move quickly so if you have some wide pipes then it should help you wont see drastic changes but essentialy there will be some thing even if its a little more hp thats a gain but as i was saying yea its better for the engine to realease those fumes quickly

yea i hear ya.....what kinda converters should i gett??? or what do you recomend??

personally i like the sound of magnaflow but thats just me and im not sure which brand woud help more preformance wise

yea i have exaust and cai and now i need a programmer but i dont no witch is the best one to gett i want somthn with the most hp or torque i can gett

idk about that sense i dont have one but ive heard allot of hype about the edge programer also super chip is pretty famous

Do you have emissions testing in your state? If not I would just cut the cats out and replace them with straight piping. If you are set on Hi-flow cats go with magnaflow everyone on this forum who has them likes them a lot.

In terms of programmers get an edge or gryphon programmer. They are essentially the same thing except that gryphon is a custom one from power hungry performance. I have an edge and I want to get it upgraded to a gryphon soon.

no im n lousiana so its all good over her and today im guttn the cats to see if it helps out cuz one is plugged up pretty bad and makn my truck miss n sputter when i hammer down on it and about how much will that programmer run me??
