2000 front fender removal
about a week ago the wind took my door and now there is a loud pop when i open it because the door hits the fender. I know what needs to be done, I just dont know how to remove the left front fender. also it looks to me that i will have to take my running board off so does anyone have a video or diagrams on how to remove the fender, that would be great thanks

When I got my truck it had damage like yours, rolled around by the wind and was just slammed against a 2x4 until it closed rite. And the poping noise from my truck is the plastic piece to hold the door open. I kind of think you need to replace that.
But as for removing ther will be bolts in the engine bay, under the wiper cowel, in the wheel well and I think ther are two more under the fender by the door. Cant remember the last one too well.

I did it awile ago but all I did was the body work so the door would open all the way and not rub. I just hung the fender off the front bolts and gave myself enof room to work around the door to adjust the hinges. So thats about as far as I can help you out.
And also your hinges are probably bent so you will probably need to get new ones or put spacers behind them or you will get a whole lot of wind noise.

the grille and light bezzle screws in to the front fenders, its really pretty easy to do, i got in an accident in january and have had mine taken apart and put back together 5 times now by myself, fender has about 3 or 4 bolts under the hook, 1 under the wiper cowel and then 2 inside of it between the wheel well and door! good luck

You probly need to adjust your door hinges, and possibly do some body work to make sure the door and fender arnt hitting each other. If you can I would try to find a full door with new hinges at a junk yard, my local picknpull sells full electric with hinges for $60. If it wasn't your fault or you have full coverage the insurance should pay you a good amount so $60 shouldn't be to bad.
