Default Chirping noise A/C clutch?

Hey everyone I have an f150 heritage, 140,000 miles. in the last year on start up until the engine is warm theres a loud, I mean loud chirping noise at idle, while driving, and increases in RPM's. not something I like to roll into school with everyday. anyways ive replaced all pulleys, water pump, alternator, and the camshaft synchronizer. I broke down and took it to ford thinking its the timing chain but $67 later they said it was the a/c compressor and want 1500 to replace that, recharge, new orfice and accumulator. they claim theres metal in the system due to the bearings wearing out. my question is if I replace the clutch, pulley, and coil would that be acceptable instead of replacing the whole a/c compressor? at the moment the truck runs fantastic except that noise so that's what im concerned with now. thanks for any input!

Does it make the noise when the A/C is off? If your compressor is bad, a pulley and belt is not going to fix it. You'll just have to break down and get a new compressor.

I currently have the same exact noise and problem with my truck. Like you, I have had nearly every pulley replaced and have gone in circles trying to fix the issue. The shop the other day also wants to replace my AC compressor due to bad bearings, orfice, and accumulator for $1700. I don't want to spend all this money if it still doesn't fix the issue. I haven't looked into the camshaft synchronizer though. Have you had any luck?

That price is crazy! I really need to open a shop if I could charge those kind of prices. Compressor from Ford is like $350ish, changing it isn't hard at all and then vacuum and install gas and oil.
