You know, at 195k I'm starting to have to put some money back into mine on things like coils, cv axles, tie rods and other things that are starting to show up. But thankfully out west we don't really have rust worries.only thing is the damn paint starting to flake off in weird places like the tailgate, door jams and roof. I don't know what they were doing with paint these years but it kind of sucks.

Living in the rust belt is a pain. Truck wont fit in my garage, and po didn't park it in the garage. I'm surprised the roof and hood arn't peeling. Not so much the hood now since the paints a few months old. But still it sits in the sun alot. Atleast i never have to worry about the bed sides rusting.

Yeah man my roof did it in a few spots, ford and their ****ty factory defect where the paint lets go of the primer coat, I've seen some guys do a damn neer seem less job on fixing spots like that but without a background in the automotive paint work it'll be hard. Just Oxford white in 97-03 has the flake issue others have there's too like blue clear coat cracking and spidering

My 03 just turned 114,000. Would be a great truck if it wasn't for the rust.

Hell even the primer let go in some spots it's just bare metal. It's alright though she's been the best vehicle I've ever had, does everything I need/ask it to. Going to be hard come tax time when I sell her off for a 2016.

179000 roughly, 1000 miles to next oil change. Year 2000.
