anybody know what the difference is between the windsor and the romero engines? i am planning on changing engines in my truck and i can get a complete truck for 800 bucks with the frame broken and all rusted out but the engine has less than half the miles of the blown engine in my truck my truck has the 4.6 with vin code 6 (romero engine from what i can tell online) and the donor truck has a 4.6 vin code w any help would be great

Id say go for it. It should work with each others components.
Theres few differences in both from the things I've had to research, but alot of it is hit or miss and not specifically toward that qestion. wish I had more for ya.

The only issue I see between the two motors is the bolt count on the crank... I had this problem going from a 97 to a 01 motor... My 97 had eight bolts... 01 had six... If they have the same trans, just swap over the flywheel/flexplate and all should be good...
Good luck!!
Cheers!!
