I found this idea for mounting in the bed on the Ford Raptor Forum. I already fabbed up the brackets and waiting on the bump stops to come into the mail. But this is the way I'm going to mount my hi-lift jack when I get the time around to do it.

I just set mine in the bottom of the box, and put stuff around and on top of it. No special brackets, the 2x a year I need it I have to move a few things to get it and honestly the only reason I carry it is because of the rescue42 attachment that makes it useful in an emergency where extraction would be needed.

I don't mean to bring back an old thread but I figure it's better than starting a new one. Has anyone mounted on of these hi lifts on a tool box? If so how did the box support the weight?

I've seen them mounted there. Not sure if they added something behind it for more support but wouldn't be a bad idea to do it.

Yeah I probably will. Right now it's just inside the box witch is fine. My plan was to weld some 1/2" bolts to a piece is 1/8 steel then bolt that to the outside of the box. Maybe I'll stick another 1/8 plate inside the box to act as a big washer and distribute the pressure.

I'd thought about putting mine on the inside of the tailgate but it's so heavy, I couldn't imagine putting it on one of our hoods

When you jack up your truck with these where do you put it? All I can think of is on the trailer hitch but what if you need to lift the front? Wouldn't it tear up the bumper/valence?
