High flow cats

anyone replace there cats with high flow ones? if so is there a change in sound? if so what kind change? (id like to remove mine altogether n then hollow out muffler but cant because of emissions

)

My grandpa did on his 4 liter v-6 ranger, lower tone but not much anything else.
