I hate watching a flawless truck like that get smashed, but that is pretty frightening. I have a brush guard that bolts to the frame, does that help the frontal crash test rating or would it just snap off the frame pretty easily at that speed?

wow I just noticed that drive shaft just crumpled. I wish they made them with solid driveshafts or at least thicker ones.

yes always put some kind of brush guard on your trucks i swear by them... i dont have one on my 04 yet but something will b on there i had a wreck exactly like that i fell asleep and hit a telephone pole in the same spot at 70 idk how fast that was but as you can tell the damage is no where near the same

I don't think it would make much of a difference in a crash to have a tougher driveshaft. When I totaled my Mustang a couple of years ago. It just snapped off the front U-joint and broke the tail-shaft on the tranny.
