heater not blowing hot on long trips

Default heater not blowing hot on long trips

hi i have a 2001 ford f150 that has a wierd heater problem when i drive on long trips (from texas to michigan) the heater stops blowing hot air and the a/c stops blowing cold i am not a ford guy and i have no idea what could cause this any suggestions would be helpful

had no heat in my o4 f150 it turn out to be myclimate control swicth

does it smell like anitfreeze when ot stops? if so it might be the heater core check and see if you are leaking any antifreeze underneath or under the dash in the middle. if it is a digital climate control than it might be that those tend to misfunction from my experiences. if this helped let me know, and when you find out the problem id like to know too. thanks and best of luck
