So I have luke warm heat. Has anyone ever flushed just the heatercore? What the hell do I need to get these quick connects off the heater core. Please help I'm freezing!

It's easier I you follow your hoses back to the engine and disconnect then from there, did it this past weekend only took about 20 mins

Yea I tried taking them off of the engine. Front came off fine but the back one has a hose clamp that you squeeze to loosen and the thing is turned towards the ire wall. There is noway to get to it at all I tried for 4 hours at least last weekend.

Oh mines a v6 and they were both right there in front

Just take them off and let the antifreeze run out?

No you put a garden hose up to the hoses and run water through until it comes out clear

Alright. Will this cause me to lose all my antifreeze by running out of the radiator hose?

if your heater core is plugged like mine was, the antifreeze is gonna be a nasty brown color that smells like...well you know. I just flushed the whole thing out and It was hard as hell to get the hoses off for me too. I ended up using an adjustable wrench to kinda push from behind.

Yes I tried to get pliers back there just couldn't get any kind of a grip on it. The dam clamp is has way too uch tension to release it. So what do I need to get the hose off of the heater core barbs? Looks like some fancy quick connect but I can't tell what it is or what I need to do to get it off.
