Headlight Install

Headlight Install
I had a front end collision and had to replace my bumper & grill. The truck has nice LED aftermarket headlights. I am reusing those.
Problem: I've got everything else installed, but I can't get the headlights back in. Seems like there's just not enough room to maneuver. Any suggestions would be welcome!
I talked with a repair shop guy. He said, "Take the grill back off & then install the headlights. It's much easier." So I did, and it was... BUT I could not get the grill to go back over and around the headlights when I went to put it on. I tried moving the grill all kinds of ways but just couldn't get it back on. It's plastic so I don't want to force or break it.
Help!!

Are they 1 piece headlights/side markers?

Yes. They are one piece headlights.

Well this won't end well....but as you figured out the grill has to stay intact. Those one piece headlights aren't known for their fitment or quality.

Ok , my f150 has the one piece lights also. You will test the lens integrity installing. Mine have actually bent in while installing, but no damage. Try inserting the out side corners first, also keep a close eye on wiring, especially the turn signal harness, also the guide rods that you lock in place to hold the headlight in.
