The switch is from a 2003 model; I would confirm to make sure the rear plugs are the same, though I believe that 1999 had swapped to the later version by that point.

The 2003 switch will not work in the '99. The connectors are completely different, as is the mounting method. The 99 requires the "flip the ****" method, although I don't recall any screws being removed. I believe once the **** is reinstalled, rotating it pulls back the retaining tabs. (I'm out of state, so I can't check.) the 2003 switch us removed by simply prying at the bottom.

Both kinds appear for 98 and 99 on rock auto

Different trims may have used different switches?

There are 4 types:

No fogs, no auto lamp
Fogs only
Auto lamps only
Fogs w/ auto lamps.

Mine came with the 4th.

I should have mentioned that both of mine are with fog and auto lights.

Knew they had changed it, but could not remember when they changed it. I do know about the pain of the 1999 headlight switch removal, lol. Luckily, the one I did wasn't hard. Quite easy, actually.

I'm not sure what year they made the switch. (Yes, I did that.)

...I ought to smack you for that. Sadly though, I'd expect for myself to make the same joke.
