Wait, so I live in a very cold area now. Nights get as low at 25 degrees, so will that be a problem since the trans fluid wouldn't go through the radiator to warm up?

It will be fine. It just won't shift into overdrive until a little farther down the road when you first Drive it in the morning.

Cheaper, and better. Autozone has a decent kit for around $70 and it's a good sized one too. Ran that on an old Dodge of mine and never had a problem since

Not much help. -Never seen it done that way..until now.

The general consensus is that keeping the trans lines in the radiator will help it warm up quicker and should be kept if possible so that the trans does not run at temps too low in the winter. Most will keep that and then add the additional cooler into the system
