Default Grand Marquis engine

I have acquired a 1995 Grand Marquis that I would like to change out the engine from it to my 1998 F150. First is this possible and how much work would it be? I have the 4.0 V6 in my truck and it is starting to leak oil and water too fast for me to deal with. So I figured it would be easier to just change out the engine.

thanks

Do you have the whole vehicle, or just the engine? Is your truck 2wd or 4wd?

.
IMO not worth the effort. Reason - 1995 4.6 SOHC 2v ...
  • NPI heads - 210HP / 270ft-lb MAXIMUM with dual exhaust.
  • leaky valve seals. *FoMoCo improved design in 1996.
  • depending upon build date, the PCM will be ECC-V -OR- ECC-IV
If you're looking for a Panther platform 4.6, get a 2001-2002 for your 1998 F-150.
