As I have had the truck i have had a problem that is getting worse for the first month or two i would go to start it like once a month and the truck would turn over but had no fire so i would take the key out completly but it back in and it would fire right up now this problem has grew to be a every couple day thing then on New years night the heater motor stayed on and so did the overhead temp. reader thing. So i unhooked the battery and let it sit like that for a day hoping it would reset. That morning I came out and tried using the old key and it would not start at all so I went in and got a new key and it fired right up. And for two days that worked now this morning I had to try and try with that key. Im guessing maybe its something in the ignition but i dont really know how to test it or if there is another problem it could be any help would be greatly appreaciated thanks... and its a 01 5.4
