Default Got my train horn installed

Here it is

Air tanks: 2 - 3gal R-134a Freon tanks
Adapters: Needed two R-134a to R12 fittings to make tanks 1/4" flare

Pump: I got a air pump from a Mercedes-Benz air suspension system
Fittings: All 1/4" brass flair
Tubing: 1/4" flared copper
Horn:

The pressure switch runs pump between 100-125psi

This is with 125psi

its because theyre the short bells. it still sounds good, and the price wasnt too bad. A co-worker of mine installed one of those little plastic trumpet horns that you get from a fleet market, and spent around 50 bucks. Its nothing close to as loud as yours

Yeah there high pitched. I wanted them to sound like a train rather than a semi. I think I might add one that is a deeper sound like a semi.

I got them from Ebay the second link is the one i bought I think the seller was "safevehicleproducts".


I spent around $150 bucks on all of it. I got the pump, and the tanks for free. The fittings cost the most, about $75 that brass ain't cheep. The horn was like $45 and the pressure switch and gauge were $20.

yeah it was one that my boss replaced as a precaution so it was still good. It doesn't pump much volume so its slow it takes about 5-10min to go from 100-125psi but it does the job. The normal output in the car is through a vacuum line. He said that pump new is $300 bucks.

And it's just as loud as any one I've ever heard on a truck.
