Is this a good deal

Dude, some of these trucks are 18 years old. Of course they're gonna have issues. This is also a forum and most people won't join one unless they're trying to fix a problem with their truck. I've personally seen a 2002 5.4L go 400,000 miles on the original motor. It all depends on maintenance, location(salt belt or not), and also a bit of luck.

Yeah. I understand there's gonna be some issues with the truck. Not worried about rust spots. I'm moving from TN to OH and more expensive issues are my main concern. and I'm looking at it having only 120k and being $3200. That's got me thinking there may be bigger issues.

I don't know if this helps but here's a starting point?
I bought my current 99 F150 XL 4.2 v6 standard single cab long box 8 months ago roughly, maybe 6, maybe 10 who knows, not long ago.
I bought it from the original owner who bought it in 1999 and had all maintenance done at dealership with proof.
Also came with brand new Michelin LTX nitrogen inflated tires. less than 500 km on them.(had the receipt cost over 1500$ w/ install balance mount alignment and nitrogen)
Now im in Canada, so a little conversion... I bought it with
160 000 KM so
100 000 Miles.
for 2500$ Canadian.
Which with the current exchange rate is about... 2000$ American I believe? or a little less.
It's been great to me. Except the fuel pump went out a couple days ago, was an 800$ fix. When they removed the old fuel pump it was the original Ford factory pump... and im currently at about 182,000 KM so it went at...
113,500 miles roughly?
I've been impressed with the truck so far. Not a lot of power, but I just use it for light 4x4ing and camping etc. Not hauling a tonne.

I hope mine goes that long. Guy must have been praying for his truck.

Thanks for all the replies. I could really use some advice on how to check out the differential and Tcase when I go see this thing. And best way to test drive this thing.

Check the tcase and differentials for leaks obviously. I believe it's a 3/8ths drive so all you need is a ratchet and check the fluids. I haven't done it in a while but I believe front differential should be orangey yellow? And Transfer case is red.
Test drive the **** out of it, only way to test drive any vehicle. lol

I don't think I want my truck to go 400k, I mean don't get me wrong, I love my truck but I wouldn't cry if I got to get something with less rust and a bit more power.

Whats up everybody. So... that guy never called or responded to my emails. New F150 on the block. 2001
