2001 f150 coil and coil spacer help
It's not the install Im gonna have trouble with, but what about the wear on the suspension. I want to get a new coil to add 1.5 inches of lift and put a 2" coilspacer on as well. What effects could that have on my suspension and what. Would I have to eventually replace. Any input would be great. Thanks.

I see ball joints in your near future!
But damn I could barely get my coil spacer (2.5)" in there how are you going to fit a 3.5" in there ??
Also steering components go faster (pit-man arm, idler arm) and your alignment will go out faster than normal.
But basically just upper and lower ball joints, your shocks possibly, and steering components, I'm already replacing mine now!

Anthonymcd did you put the compressor on then jack up the frame on the truck. That should be enough to get space between the a arm and the top of the strut. You can always jack it up higher if you need more clearance

Yeah its not the fact of if you can get it in there, its the factor of your control arms not being able to go far enough down to bolt back together, at that much of a stress I'd expect your ball joint to simply break under normal conditions and ******* it on a bump would be devastating. Just do the coil spacer, buy better shocks, expect a rougher ride btw!
