Gibson Super Truck muffler alignment
At 130k miles, the custom muffler on my 2003 F150 finally rusted into pieces. Since this is no longer my daily driver, I thought I'd buy something simple that I could just bolt on myself. This time around, I wasn't looking for something with the best performance or sound.
I went with the Gibson 69516 Super Truck exhaust:

I used Gibson's website to select this model, so it is supposed to be made for my model year truck.
Installation seemed to go alright. However, I am currently stuck trying to get the exhaust tips to line up parallel with the bottom of the truck. Photos are here:

I've tried twisting, pushing, pulling the muffler into different positions and I've tried bending the hanger rods. I'm not having any success.
In the photos, I've intentionally twisted the exhaust tips out of alignment from one another to make it less obvious the whole thing is not parallel with the bottom.
Thoughts?
Is there anything I can do?
Is this typical for a muffler kit?
