the picture proves it, thats good to know seeing that i've never cracked open the manual. I have also heard of some vehicles need specific pressure relief caps that you can only get at a dealer. Did you replace with a generic cap from a parts store?

yeah, i just bought an aftermarket cap. i hate goin to the dealership for stuff. but that is a good point that i didnt think about. and yeah when i first saw it i had no idea what it was supposed to symbolize so i looked it up. lol.

wtf........ ive never seen or heard of this....well...... did you get tha sob fixed yet or what....... lol i guess we need to now how to turn this light off seeings how your the only one in the world with a gas cap light ... just ****tin ya man let us know how you fixed it... i would you need a new gas cap... or you got a evap line plugged up..

haha yeah. like i said earlier google images didnt even have a pic for it, and i couldnt find anything on google about it. lucky me. lol. and yeah im callin the dealership tomorrow to see about a factory gas cap, and if that doesnt work i guess im gonna go from there. definitely hopin its an easy fix though. we just replaced the engine so im kinda tired of workin on the truck. lol.

my dad has an 02 with the 4.2 ... and hes got an locking gas cap he bought from autozone... and it didnt throw any lights on... but im not sure he has that light

hm. well, that doesnt sound good for me then. and the truck has been runnin rougher so, i imagine its not gonna be that simple of a fix. but like i said, im keepin my fingers crossed. lol.

alright. replaced the cap with a factory gas cap today and reset the computer. so far, so good, but its only been a few hours. lol. so we'll see if this works.
