The cold air intake is crap. Just do a gotts mod. And anything catback does nothing for a tune.

Did you get the one that has the MPT tunes on it? How long ago did you tune it

And TLB4, sorry to tell ya boss but you are incorrect as far as there not being different types of tunes for n/a engines. Will they be as BIG as a difference as on a diesel or forced induction vehicle? No but still a noticable difference depending on what type of tunes you get.

For the 5.4, on average, you would be looking at about 22 rwhp for a stock 5.4 and 20 torque but those gains are on a SCT tune, a custom tune from MPT prob would be able to pull lil more power out, but you would want to contact them to see by how much, they are a vendor here on the boards as well and I'm sure could help you out.

Again, he posted that 9 years ago...

and the stock intake is a cold air unit. While you might see gains from removing restriction with an aftermarket system, they'll be cancelled by the fact that you're essentially pulling your "cold air" from the hot engine bay as opposed to the fenderwell where the factory system gets it's juice...now a hybrid system that reduces restriction AND pulls air from that fenderwell would be the way to go.

nah the stock one is not a intake it’s a Air cleaner and it’s very restrictive a Cold air intake has a metal 4 inch pipe and a filter on the end of the pipe

Again I say the word HYBRID...Utilizing an aftermarket 4" pipe with an aftermarket filter integrated with the stock airbox and snorkel to the wheel well...best of both worlds. That's what I did.

Having said that, I will eventually build a custom airbox that doesn't require as much flex to keep it installed and is easier to access the filter and maf. I hate the stock band strap setup.
