Default fuel filter?

I have an '03 4.6L, 136000 miles. The engine struggles at around 3000 rpm's..it will not go above 3500. It feels like its choking for fuel, leading me to believe its the filter. Up until 3000, it runs perfectly normal. I drive 80-100 miles a day on the interstate. I only noticed it tonite when i tried to pass a car.

The fuel filter would be a quick-n-easy change to try.

May need to check your catalytic converter for blockage also.

Heheheh Bill - it was only 0421 here. That doggone day job thing - roads were icy, wanted to allow plenty of time for what's normally an hour's drive.

Although my dad still reminds me of the days when I used to call 5am the end of the day more often than the beginning :-)~
