I had the same horrific, enbarrasing problem with a $30k truck with 50k miles. I had dropped it and screwed with the suspension, so gremlins showed their face quicker.

Didn't figure you had with the answer you gave. You're one of the ones I was talking about. They're cheap like $25 on eBay. Your truck will stay in line and not Pop in and out of Alignment on you.

I want to say it had something to do with the assembly line at ford (that could be completely wrong too) but I feel that's why they are like that.

No

It's a... If you mess with your suspension, up or down, it's more likely to happen quicker, type of problem.

It's most natorious for showing its ugly face, when you're backing up and turning the wheel sharp.
