Default Frame repair?

Help! hit a ditch last night and ripped the bolts out of the frame for the front stabilizer mount. How do I put it back together?

This is something that requires pictures and more in depth explanation.

Cant post any pics at the moment but the mount for the stabilizer bar on the passengers side came apart from the frame. one bolt pulled right out. the mount is still being held on by one bolt but its totally bent all the way backward and the stabilizer bar is just hangin free, not even in the right place.

I was just wondering if there was something I could do about that bolt hole in the frame that a bolt probably wont thread into now.

Is the bolt completely out and won't thread in? Try a tap and die set.

If the bolt ripped out then there are 3 options you could do
1. drill and tap a larger hole into the sub frame and hope there is something to bite into
2. remove sway bar
3. cut open the frame a little where the blind nuts are welded to the frame, remove the old nut and weld in a fresh nut and weld the frame back together.

I would first try tapping it out to a larger bolt and see if it will hold, if not I would remove the sway bar until such time I could afford to get it fixed properly.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Default update

Thanks for that so far. Was able to take a better look and found that the sway bar went back to where it should be after completely removing the damaged mount but I now see that where the place where the idler arm is bolted on is bent that is what is causing the steering linkages to rub the frame. Fixable? was gonna put a jack between the idler arm and the lower control arm and try to straighten it out. Will this work?
