Default Ford F150 - Stuck Spark Plug Wire Boots

I went to change my Plugs in a 1998 F150 4.6 and man, with all of our strength could not remove the boots, I got the truck last October and am going thru things one by one and so far have a very nice truck, I even bought a tool from Car Quest to remove them and the tool broke, it was cheap anyway but still.

So what are my options? rip out the wire and replace them with new ones?, of course they say 1998 on them so they are original, but I bet they are about $100 to replace.. All I want it to replace the plugs!! Help!!

Twist the boot. I would replace the wires as you wil have nothing but problems if you reuse them.

Had same problem removing the boots even after using the boot grease. Had one I just couldn't get removed, my son was stronger and he got it all without
much problem , he was younger and stronger. When replacing the wires be sure to use the boot grease, and use plenty of it.

Sounds like the plug connectors are corroded or arc welded into place.
When I had that problem, I used needle nose pliars on the boots near the spark plug tip and manhandled those boys twisting and pulling like pulling a tooth. You are going to need new plugs and wires any way.
Keeping the old wires is not an option.
